LPS-S2 Diaphragm Pressure Switch

Suitable for measuring the pressure of liquids, gases, or steam, this device compares the measured pressure value with a setpoint to trigger high- and low-limit alarms. The output signal is a passive dry-contact relay (SPDT). Common applications include: 1. Start/stop control for air compressors; 2. High- and low-pressure alarm systems in pipelines, as well as interlocked pump start/stop mechanisms. The pressure switch directly outputs a switching signal, enabling functionality equivalent to that achieved by combining a pressure transmitter with PLC/control instrumentation for switch-based control. The LPS-S2 series diaphragm-type pressure switches feature a fully welded stainless steel diaphragm in their pressure-sensing structure. The entire design is simple and user-friendly, with few potential failure points, effectively preventing fluid leakage and false operations. Additionally, these switches offer adjustable switching differential settings, making them ideal for applications requiring precise pressure range control and pressure-zone monitoring alarms. They are widely used across various industries—such as petroleum, chemical processing, metallurgy, power generation, sugar production, and pharmaceuticals—where reliable pressure control is essential.

Measurement Principle   Principle

A diaphragm-type pressure switch is a mechanical pressure switch that uses the mechanical deformation of a diaphragm to control the closing or opening of electrical contacts. When the pressure of the measured medium changes, the diaphragm undergoes a corresponding displacement. This displacement is then transmitted via a linkage mechanism to a microswitch. Once the displacement reaches a preset value, it actuates the microswitch, causing its contacts to either close or open—thus signaling the pressure level. Adjustable pressure switches allow users to fine-tune the relationship between the linkage mechanism and the microswitch contact travel, enabling precise pressure control at either a fixed value or within a specific range, thereby achieving the desired operational purpose.

Installation Requirements INSTALLATION

• Do not operate while energized.
2. Weld the pressure-tapping pipe, and it’s best to install a shut-off valve on the pipe, allowing for easy removal of the valve during maintenance.
3. Install the switch in a location with minimal vibration and temperature fluctuations.
4. Please do not turn the housing-fixed switch directly; instead, use a wrench to tighten the connecting hex below.
