LPS-M1 Diaphragm-Type Pressure Switch

Suitable for applications involving corrosive, viscous, easily crystallizing, or substances prone to solidification and containing suspended solids. The diaphragm is internally filled with inert silicone oil, while the special-material diaphragm directly contacts the process medium. The silicone oil transmits pressure to the sensor, enabling high- and low-limit alarms by comparing the measured pressure value against preset thresholds. The output signal is a passive dry-contact relay (SPDT). Common applications include: 1. Acidic tail-gas pressure monitoring and alarm systems; 2. Pressure control in reaction vessels, etc. The pressure switch directly outputs a dry-contact signal, delivering functionality equivalent to that of a pressure transmitter combined with PLC/control instrumentation for switch-based control. With its simple design, this product excels in on-site control scenarios within compact systems. Key features of this product include:
● Fully welded diaphragm, zero leakage
●Mechanical principle, no power supply required
● High-quality microswitch with minimal dead zone
● The process interface is versatile, and both flanges and threads can be customized.

Product Description

Product Overview Product overview

"The LPS-M1 series diaphragm pressure switches are manufactured by secondarily filling the basic pressure switch design with oil through a double diaphragm. The wetted parts can be equipped with various diaphragm materials, making them suitable for handling complex operating conditions such as corrosive, viscous, easily crystallizing, or particle-clogging media. Inside the diaphragm, inert oil is used to transmit pressure, ensuring that corrosive substances come into contact only with specially engineered diaphragm materials. The deformation of the diaphragm is transmitted via the oil to the sensor, enabling high, low, high-high, and low-low alarm functions or interlocked control actions. The setpoints are adjustable, and the device requires no separate power supply. Additionally, it features large contact capacity, making it ideal for differential pressure control applications in industries such as petroleum, chemical processing, metallurgy, power generation, sugar production, and pharmaceuticals."

Measurement Principle   Principle

A diaphragm-type pressure switch is a mechanical pressure switch that uses the mechanical deformation of a diaphragm to control the closing or opening of electrical contacts. When the pressure of the measured medium changes, the diaphragm undergoes a corresponding displacement. This displacement is then transmitted via a linkage mechanism to a microswitch. Once the displacement reaches a preset value, it actuates the microswitch, causing its contacts to either close or open—thus signaling the pressure level. Adjustable pressure switches allow users to fine-tune the relationship between the linkage mechanism and the microswitch contact travel, enabling precise pressure control at either a fixed value or within a specific range, thereby achieving the desired operational purpose.

Installation Requirements INSTALLATION

1. Weld the pressure-tapping pipe, and it’s best to install a shut-off valve on the pipe. Leave threaded connections corresponding to the switch, allowing for easy removal of the switch during maintenance.
2. Install the switch in a location with minimal vibration and temperature fluctuations. An appropriate installation spot can effectively prevent moisture from entering the housing. If the switch will be installed under harsh operating conditions, it must be mounted vertically (with the pressure connector facing downward). Please avoid installing it in environments outside the specified temperature range.
3. Special note: When installing or removing, never directly twist the outer casing to secure or detach the switch. Instead, use a wrench to tighten or loosen the connecting hexagonal (or flat) fitting at the joint.
